Final Thoughts and Conclusions

The Enermax MODU87+ 600W power supply delivered excellent efficiency with good voltage regulation and relatively clean outputs.  In addition, the PSU is virtually silent during normal operation.  Throw in support for high-end graphic adapters, modular cables, excellent build quality and attractive styling and Enermax has another winner on their hands.

Edit 4-9-10: Enermax informed me the warranty period is 5-years on all Enermax 87+, Galaxy EVO, and Revolution85+ PSUs (Enermax Warranty)

The Enermax MODU87+ and PRO87+ power supplies are making their way into retail channels now.  The initial MSRP for the MODU87+ 600W PSU is definitely on the high side at $179 USD but prices should fall once availability improves.


Strengths:
•    600W continuous DC output (up to 50°)
•    Excellent, flat efficiency across a broad range of loads
•    Very good voltage regulation (particularly on the critical +12V outputs)
•    Virtually silent during normal operation
•    Three +12V outputs can deliver up to 50A/600W
•    Four PCI-E connectors (6/8-pin)
•    Active PFC with universal AC input
•    Sleeved modular cables with gold-plated connectors
•    Stylish black and gold styling

Weaknesses:
•    None noted
