The Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H is a microATX board for LGA1156 Clarkdale chips which seems designed to make the most of Intel’s new HD Graphic onboard GPU.  No less than four graphics ports are on this board, VGA, HDMI, DCI and DisplyPort, making this a very versatile board for anyone looking to build an HTPC without needing to pick up a discreet graphics card.  The inclusion of 7.1 surround sound thanks to the Realtek ALC889 HDA codec will also put a smile on the HTPC builders face.  It won’t be powering any top of the line gaming machines obviously but is well worth peeking at in the review at iXBT Labs.
“The inexpensive Gigabyte H55M-UD2H may become a good foundation for a home theater or just for a simple home PC. This compact motherboard has reasonable layout and offers the complete basic functionality supplemented with FireWire and eSATA. Its key feature, however, is the full-fledged implementation of Intel HD Graphics, HDMI and DisplayPort included.”
