The brand new 890FX chipset is worthy of a 6 core CPU

Don’t let the release of the Phenom II X6 1090T overshadow AMD’s other big new for today, the release of the enthusiast level 890FX chipset and several motherboards that use it. There is some rather big news from this chipset as it is fully PCIe 2.0 compliant, in fact it has 42 PCI-E 2.0 lanes and 11 engines. That means that even with 4 graphics cards installed there is still room for 7 more pieces of hardware such as USB 3.0 drives.
