SPECviewperf 10
The SPECopcSM project group’s SPECviewperf 10 is totally new performance evaluation software. In addition to features found in previous versions, it now provides the ability to compare performance of systems running in higher-quality graphics modes that use full-scene anti-aliasing, and measures how effectively graphics subsystems scale when running multithreaded graphics content. Since the SPECviewperf source and binaries have been upgraded to support changes, no comparisons should be made between past results and current results for viewsets running under SPECviewperf 10.

In these results the new FirePro V7800 is definitely falling behind the higher performing V8800 but is also struggling to stay ahead of the V5800.

The V4800 is MUCH faster than the V3800 and is even approaching the performance of the V5800 as well. These tests are pretty baseline so we will see how performance changes as we increase thread counts and sample rates.

I enjoyed reading on ‘AMD FirePro V7800 and V4800 Professional Graphics Review.’ The features of the graphic cards are stated together with nice photos of the cards. I think it will be good to have a Groupon site or clone of it which can sell IT gadgets.
