It wasn’t all that long ago AMD fans were complaining about Dell’s lack of AMD option aside from Opteron based servers. How things have changed in such a short time with AMD was grabbing many new mobile design wins from companies like Dell, Acer, Asus, and HP.

Today Dell is releasing the Inspiron M301z 13″ laptop which uses AMD’s latest low-voltage Athlon II Neo CPUs based on the Nile mobile platform. The M301z comes with a choice of 1.3 GHz Athlon II Neo K325 or the 1.5GHz K625, integrated Mobility Radeon HD 4225, up to 4GB of RAM, 320GB 7200 RPM HDD, and a standard 6-cell battery rated for 5 hours. The product is 1″ thin and has a full sized keyboard.

While this product is currently showing up at the Dell Singapore site, you can expect to see it available in other locales soon. The configurations start at $999 including delivery.
