A Detailed Look at the Outside and Inside

The exterior of our Dimastech Easy V2.5 test bench was powder coated with a shiny black car finish. The unit itself measures in at 455mm (depth) x 440mm (width) x 210mm (height). These dimensions are basically the equivalent of laying a mid-tower case on its side. The front panel includes three holes to mount a power button, reset button, and USB port. Dimastech provides the power and reset buttons standard with the system, but users will have to purchase the USB port separately.

We flipped over the top panel to give our readers another look at how the unit was machined. Dimastech’s powder coating process really stands out and provides a durable finish that can stand the rigors that a test bench needs to be able to sustain.

The very top of the unit is where users will install the motherboard and mount fans around it. Dimastech included mounting holes for ATX, micro ATX, and mini ITX motherboard configurations. They also made slits in the top panel to route power cables from the power supply and data cables from the optical and hard drives.

The right side of the top portion of the unit has a large opening for better airflow and a laser cut “Dimastech V2.5”. There are also three screw holes for securing the top panel to the base of the unit.

The back is wide open and only has “Made in Italy” lettering that was laser cut during production. They left this portion open so users could access all the hardware located at the base of the system.

The left side is where users can connect single, dual, and triple radiator setups for their water cooling solutions. This version really gears itself around using phase change and watercooling setups to handle the extra heat being generated by today’s high-end four and six-core processors.

The bottom panel slides in under the top panel and secures itself with four thumbscrews. This panel has mounting holes for a variety of components, including the power supply, optical drive bay, and hard drive bay. They also added extra holes for mounting fans and other cooling accessories.

The photo above helps illustrate how the base has four half circles that help it slide over rails attached to the top panel.
