Under the Hood
Here are a few pictures showing the layout and components inside the Corsair AX1200 power supply. The overall layout looks very good with components neatly organized and excellent soldering on the PCBs. The AX1200 uses four DC-to-DC converters to generate the main DC outputs (+3.3V, +5V and a pair for the +12V).
Corsair has apparently gone to a new OEM for the AX series as this unit does not appear to have been manufactured by Seasonic or Channel Well Technology (CWT).
