Kingwin Lazer Gold Series 1,000W Power Supply Review - Cases and Cooling 36

The steel enclosure of the Kingwin LZG-1000 power supply features a black-matt finish and measures 180mm (7.1”) long.  The Lazer Gold Series PSUs use a single 140mm fan on the bottom for cooling.  The fan speed is automatically controlled by the internal component temperature (speeds up as the combined load and temperature increases) via an onboard speed controller.  The 140mm fan (GlobeFan RL4B-B1402512H) is rated for 0.4A when operating on 12 VDC.  Note the plastic shroud that helps divert airflow thru the PSU and out the back.

The Kingwin LZG-1000 PSU comes with a good assortment of fixed and modular cables, which are covered with plastic mesh sleeving.  The LZG-1000 features eight Crystal Cube Modular sockets that provide power to the modular peripheral device and PCI-E cables.  Note: The Crystal Cube sockets don’t contain LED lights like they do on previous Lazer Series power supplies.
