Testing Configuration and Benchmarks Used

We matched the MSI H55M-ED55 against the ASRock H55DE3 and a Gigabyte P55-UD6 motherboard. Testing this board against an micro ATX and full ATX motherboard that both utilize the LGA 1156 and H55M/P55 platforms should give our readers a good overview of this board’s performance against other solutions.

Our 64-bit test bench for LGA 1156 processors includes 4GBs of dual channel DDR3 memory, a GTS 250 512MB graphics card, and a Western Digital 150GB Raptor SATA 3GB/s hard drive for storage. This configuration is based off a typical mid-range users LGA 1156 system and focuses specifically on evaluating the motherboard’s features and capabilities and less on the rest of the other hardware components.
