A Detailed Look at the Inside

The interior of the Armor A90 is attractive and matches the exterior panels and overall design. The first thing that stands out is the tool-less clips over the 5.25″ and 2.5″ bays. This is important to note because being able to install devices without screws helps decrease installation times and keeps them safe and secure. I also liked the 200mm fan at the top of the case as well as the cable management properties that utilizes the back of the motherboard tray and the 3.5″ optical bay.

As we stated before, there is a large vent below the power supply and there is also a bracket that is movable to accommodate different types of power supplies.

Here’s a close-up photo of the unique tool-less design Thermaltake developed for the Armor A90. I like how easy they secure drives as well as providing space for users to include screws for added security and protection.

The back panel includes a non-LED 120mm fan and a 200mm blue LED fan on the top of the case. The 200mm fan maxes out at 800 RPM (15 dBa) and the 120mm fan runs at 1000 RPM (16 dBa).

The motherboard tray accommodates ATX and micro ATX motherboard types. There’s adequate room for full ATX boards and should be large enough for higher-end graphics cards that are longer than mid-range video cards. Thermaltake also added room behind the CPU socket for larger backplates.

The back of the front panel is where users install the optical and hard drives. They included one 120mm fan, but they also added room for users to add another one on top of it. There’s plenty of room to upgrade your system with additional hard drives as well as one solid state drive too. All of these drive bays are tool-less too.

Removing the front panel bezel is quick and easy and shows how the fans are installed. The bottom vents are wide open and helps the case pull in cool air, which is critical for today’s hot hardware and other components.
