The long running Civilization series from Sid Meier has hit number five and there are a lot of excited gamers out there. It has been 20 years since the inception of the game and there has been quite a bit of change over that time. You can get an idea of the history at Ars Technica where they put together and overview of Civilization and its add on components here.
