ATTO Disk Benchmark 2.34
ATTO Disk Benchmark comes in handy for simple testing of various sector sizes to a given device. Since it works by placing a test file on the drive and accessing it in-place, it provides a good reality check when testing externally attached devices. Tests were ran at the default queue depth of 4, which I’ve opted to use here to demonstrate a potential weakness of USB3.0 connected devices.

The USB3.0 spec is supposed to support NCQ, however from the above it appears to have not been at play. We have not yet tested enough of these devices to determine where the support is lacking. It could have been the U3S6 / driver, or the GBox itself. Time will tell as we test additional hardware.
