The Corsair AX850 power supply enclosure is painted matte black and is 160mm (6.3”) deep.  It uses a single 120mm fan on the bottom for cooling.  The dual ball bearing Sanyo Denki fan (San Ace 120 #9S1212F404)) is a high-quality fan designed to provide excellent airflow and cooling.

One of the AX850’s more unique features is what Corsair calls their Hybrid Silent Fan Technology, which allows the PSU to operate in one of three modes, depending on the load level.
•    Fanless Mode: Silent
•    Quiet Mode: Low fan speed
•    Higher Performance Cooling Mode: Heavy loads

Around on the other end, the front panel incorporates ten modular cable connectors. This is where all the modular cable connectors plug into.  They are keyed so only the proper cables will plug into corresponding sockets.

The Corsair AX850 power supply comes with a good assortment of all modular cables and connectors.  Some of the cables are covered with braided plastic mesh sleeving while others are a flat ribbon-style cable.  The cables range in length from 18″ to 24″ long (to the first connector).
