Testing Configurations
Galaxy GeForce GTX 460 Razor 1GB - Single Slot Gaming - Graphics Cards 79

The new Galaxy GTX 460 1GB Razor card is going to be priced at $249 – higher than other GXT 460 options to be sure.  That being said, the cost difference that Galaxy is asking for is not to indicate better performance (we already know the clock speeds are standard reference settings) but instead for the unique form factor it provides.  In our benchmarking I wanted to point out where it sat in the performance lineup rather than the pricing lineup.

So, for our performance evaluation, you’ll see it setup like this:
  • Galaxy GeForce GTX 460 1GB Razor – $249
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 1GB – $189
  • AMD Radeon HD 6870 1GB – $200
  • AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB – $170

Here is our test system setup for the benchmarks:

  • Testing Configuration
  • ASUS P6X58D Premium Motherboard
  • Intel Core i7-965 @ 3.33 GHz Processor
  • 3 x 2GB Corsair DDR3-1333 MHz Memory
  • Western Digital VelociRaptor 600GB HDD
  • Corsair Professional Series 1200w PSU
  • Benchmarks used: 3DMark Vantage, Unigine Heaven v2.1, Metro 2033, Lost Planet 2, Civilization V, F1 2010, Bad Company 2, Left 4 Dead 2

Let’s get to it!
