GeForce GTX 560 Ti Review Roundup - Galaxy, MSI and Palit Compared - Graphics Cards 83

Surprisingly, through five runs of our Bad Company 2 test (we try to keep it “real world” in here) the differences in peak power consumption were pretty minimal as even the 900 MHz Palit Sonic card uses only 14 watts more than any other card.  You might be surprised to see the MSI card using LESS power than the reference card – but keep in mind that these are custom PCBs and thus power capabilities differ.

Here is where things are really interesting – the reference cooler topped out at 76 degrees Celsius while the MSI Twin Frozr II card was more than 20C lower!  Even the Galaxy twin fan cooler was impressive as it came in 12C cooler than the reference design.  The Palit card was definitely the warmest of the three retail options but consider its 9.3% clock increase, the fact it is still 6C cooler than the stock card is nice.
