Power Consumption and Temperatures
With the AMD PowerTune changes that occur with this switch to the overclocked mode on the HD 6990, we can expect additional power consumption – but how much?
Well that’s interesting – the HD 6990 running at 880 MHz actually uses a whopping 60+ watts more power than the base clock version. Consider that is a 12.8% increase in power usage for a 2-4% increase in performance, obviously the efficiency change here will affect many users’ decisions.

The temperature doesn’t go up very much at the overclocked settings (though the cooler did get louder) but we still are hesitant to applaud the 90C+ degree results in a user’s chassis.
Something more important is
Something more important is that when searching for a good internet electronics retail outlet, look for web stores that are continuously updated, always keeping up-to-date with the newest products, the most effective deals, as well as helpful information on products. This will make certain you are getting through a shop that really stays atop the competition and gives you what you need to make educated, well-informed electronics acquisitions.
