CF vs. Hydra: Metro 2033 and Power
Metro 2033This title turned out to be the “Crysis” of 2010. When first released it hammered high end systems, and even today the top cards and setups still cannot run this at maxed settings. The built-in benchmark was used with “Very High” settings enabled. 16X AF was utilized.
Native Crossfire scaled best, but Hydra was not too far behind. Unfortunately for both, they did not scale all that much higher than single card performance. But at least we do see some scaling here.
Power
Power consumption should be slightly greater for Hydra because it has to power the RISC processor in the chipset.
Sure enough, the Hydra solution pulls a few watts more at both idle and load.
As in for up-to-date
As in for up-to-date applications, I am looking for a reliable reader of exe files for some of my gadgets: zune, smart phone. I don`t know for sure how these things work, but as long as we`re talking about serious evolution here, futuristic design, I believe that there is a direct proportional development of easiness to handle technology and revolutionary shapes which I happen to admire a lot.
