Power Consumption and Temperatures
So the GTX 550 Ti card isn’t exactly a stellar performer when put up against the same priced GPUs already on the market, but what can it do in terms of power consumption?
The HD 5770 is definitely using less power at load (but more at idle) than the GTX 550 Ti though the GTX 460 768MB card uses even more than that – about 10% more.
Without a doubt the Cyclone cooler on the MSI GTX 550 Ti OC card provides the lowest temperature on the GPU though none are anywhere near the limits of the GPUs themselves.
