Specifications and Packaging
The SilverStone ST45SF power supply is rated for a combined, continuous output power of up to 450 watts at 50°C. That’s important, as some less reputable manufactures limit their power supply’s advertised capacity by specifying a lower operating temperature (25°C) in the fine print.
The PSU includes universal AC line input (automatically adjusts to the AC line voltage) and active PFC, which makes the unit more environmentally friendly to the local power grid. The SilverStone ST45SF PSU features a single +12V rail that can deliver up to 36A (432W) of power; almost the entire capacity of the unit. Pretty sweet for a little SFX PSU.

Very good review. There seem to be a few power supplies out now in this form factor that are competing with this unit. After reading this review, I think I would only buy a power supply that was 80 plus certified. It gives me a warm feeling that somebody other than the manufacturer looked at the product and certified that it works the way it’s suppose to.
