As you can no doubt tell, PC Perspective got a HUGE and much needed facelift recently to what we are internally calling "PC Perspective v4.0". I know there are still some kinks to work out and we are actively addressing any feedback from our readers in this comment thread.
But we want to celebrate the launch of the new site in style!! Some of our site sponsors have very generously offered up some prizes for us to give out throughout the coming days…
The sixth prize is truly a killer motherboard, the ASUS Maximus IV Extreme P67 B3!
This motherboard from ASUS has just about anything an enthusiast could ask for including:
- ROG Connect: Plug and Overclock – Tweak it the hardcore way!
- ROG iDirect : Tune your PC from your iPhone or iPad now!
- RC Bluetooth: Smashes through all the barriers of conventional overclocking!
- Extreme Engine Digi+: Smashes through all the barriers of conventional overclocking!
- USB BIOS Flashback: Refresh the BIOS can never be that easy
How can you win this wonderful piece of engineering that currently sells for more than $360???
Couldn’t be easier: post a comment in this post thanking ASUS for its sponsorship of PC Perspective as well as any ideas you have for the NEXT super-motherboard. What other features would you like to see from ASUS?
You should probably have a registered account or at least be sure you include your email address in the appropriate field so we can contact you!
We will pick the winners soon and move on to the next hardware that finds its way to PC Perspective offices. Good luck and thanks for reading!!
Count me in!

For the spearhead of motherboards in overclocking market is hard to come up with proposals. From my point of view the result of the effort is appreciated!

Asus rocks, and I am very grateful they support sites like PCPer! I think multi-gpu integrated graphics could be pretty awesome, running in SLI with enough outputs for three or four monitors, that would be sweet!
Thank you ASUS for sponsoring

I think a built in 75gig SSD would be an awesome idea.

By the way, you can deploy a graphical interface to simulate the change of various values, because only the numeric display is really boring!

For good visibility, color numbers and letters printed on the motherboard should be put in contrast with her color!

Thanks for the sponsorship, Asus. I looked at the spec page and man, this MB is loaded. The only things I could think of to change is make all the sata ports 6Gbps compatible. And maybe add lightpeak ports? That would be a dream addition at this point I guess.
Thanks Asus for sponsoring PC

For a suggestion, how about inexpensive dual-CPU (or even quad-CPU) MBs which don’t require Xeons to operate?

Thanks Asus! It takes a classy company to recognize a classy website.

Thank you ASUS for sponsoring this PC Perspective giveaway. I love all your products, especially my P7P55D PRO! My idea is you keep getting the positions of slots and connectors better. I mean what’s whit the Molex in the middle of the board it should be somewhere around the edge of the board and with the one on the lower left side you can’t use it if you don’t own a Full Tower. I mean keep your eyes open for the small details, the other things are more then very good with your motherboards!

nice board but i rather have double spacing for dual or triple video card set up. there are some people that rather not mess with water cooling. I water cool my set up and still i prefer double slot spacing
