Final Thoughts
After spending several weeks evaluating the Thermaltake Level 10 GT case, I have to say it is one of the most creative and stylish PC enclosures I’ve reviewed in some time. I don’t think I’ve seen a case with this many design and cooling features in a full tower PC enclosure, and the addition of three 200mm fans running between 600-800 RPMs keeps the noise level down even at maximum RPMs.
My favorite features on this case are definitely the removable hard drive cages, massive aircooling solution with LED/fan controller, cable management improvements, and overall construction and design. They also had to make a lot of plastic components instead of aluminum or steel to keep the cost under $300.
Pricing
As of April 2, the Thermaltake Level 10 GT case was in stock at Newegg for around $269.99 before shipping. We also found the Level 10 GT case at Amazon for $256 before shipping and Fry’s Electronics for $269 before shipping.
Conclusion
We’d like to thank our friends at Thermaltake for providing the Level 10 GT full tower case for our review today. While we never had the pleasure of doing a hands-on review of the original Level 10 case, we were very excited with all the features Thermaltake emulated from it on the Level 10 GT. We were also highly impressed that Thermaltake was daring enough to try and create a consumer-level case out of the astronomically-priced Level 10 case. The overall design of the Level 10 GT is easily on par with the original Level 10, but Thermaltake included other related features like a hinged side panel door and removable hard drive cages. The extra security locks gave me more comfortable bringing this case to large LAN parties like Quakecon.
I also thought the extra aircooling additions could handle any six-core or quad-core gaming system with ease. The ability to handle graphics cards up to 14 inches is also a bonus for those users wanting to install AMD Radeon HD 6990 4GB or NVIDIA GTX 590 3GB dual-GPU graphics cards. Overall, the Level 10 GT should compete very well with other high-end, full tower PC enclosures because they usually sacrifice style for function. We award the Thermaltake Level 10 GT case our PC Perspective Editor’s Choice award for stepping outside of the box to give gamers and enthusiasts customized case with high-end performance results and features.
