Specifications and Packaging

The Kingwin Stryker 500W Fanless power supply supports the ATX12V v2.2, EPS12V v2.91 and SSI EPS12V v2.92 standards and is rated for a combined, continuous output power of 500 watts at up to 50°C, but Kingwin claims the STR-500 can easily be overclocked* to 600W with only a small loss of efficiency.

*Note: Overclocked is a bit of a misnomer as you don’t have to do anything to the PSU other than apply a larger load on the DC outputs (no jumpers or dip switches to set nor do you have to over-volt the AC mains).

Instead of using a traditional fan, the Stryker 500W PSU incorporates a large, passively cooled heatsink on the top surface to dissipate waste heat. The STR-500 uses a single +12V output that can deliver up to 41.5A (498W). The PSU includes universal AC line input (automatically adjusts the AC line voltage) and active PFC, which makes the unit more environmentally friendly to the local power grid.
