Power Consumption and Temperatures

Testing of power consumption is pretty important when looking at higher end graphics cards like these – let’s see how our real-world power consumption turned out.

Idle power on the GTX 560 Ti 2Win card is right in line with the other single card options like the GTX 580 and Radeon HD 6970; only the dual-card option that is a pair of GTX 560 Ti runs higher.  However, looking at the LOAD power consumption of the EVGA card it is quite a bit higher than the GTX 580 – 25% higher in fact.  That explains much of our performance advantage over the GTX 580, in reality.

The cooling solution on the EVGA GTX 560 Ti 2Win is quite efficient and is able to keep the GPUs running even cooler than the single GPU solutions like the GTX 580 and the GTX 560 Ti cards running in SLI.
