Power Consumption and Temperatures
Testing of power consumption is pretty important when looking at higher end graphics cards like these – let’s see how our real-world power consumption turned out.
Idle power on the GTX 560 Ti 448c sits right between that of the GTX 560 Ti and the GTX 570 – kind of makes sense. The load power consumption though is closer to that of the GTX 570 as it is only 18 watts lower than the original card. Again though, with only 23 watts separating it from the GTX 560 Ti, the new card finds a comfortable and reasonable resting place.
AMD’s Radeon HD 6950 2GB card still rules this area though.
Wow! The cooler on the MSI GTX 560 Ti 448 Power Edition is incredibly impressive keeping this GF110 GPU at 57C during load! For those curious, the idle temperature was 42C.
