A Detailed Look
The SilverStone Strider Gold 1200W power supply enclosure is painted matte black and measures 180mm (7.2”) deep. It uses a single 135mm fan on the bottom for cooling. The dual ball bearing Young Lin Tech Co. Ltd. fan (DFB132512H) is designed to provide excellent airflow and cooling with minimal noise.
The Strider PSU does not have a master On-Off switch on the back panel. There is of course an AC receptacle along with an open honeycomb grill that allows the exhaust air to exit the power supply with little resistance.
Around on the other end, the front panel incorporates 11 modular cable connectors. They are color coded and keyed so only the proper cables will plug into their corresponding sockets.
The SilverStone Strider Gold 1200W power supply comes with an excellent assortment of all modular cables and connectors. All of the cables are covered with braided plastic mesh sleeving. The cables range in length from approximately 21.5" to 29" long (to the first connector). The power supply package includes four PCI-E cables with one 6-pin and one 8-pin connector attached to each to support multiple, high-end graphics cards.

“Japanese Capacitors” is a sought-after feature? Is that some kind of commentary about USA sourced products? I’m old enough to remember when “Made in Japan” meant cheap junk.. have the tables turned so completely?

It’s as opposed to ‘made in China’. The U.S. gave up its capacitor and electronics production facilities to other countries long ago. We barely have microprocessor fabrication capabilities now.
If you buy from Japan, you’ll know your parts were assembled by an adult who is working consentually and not as part of a labor camp. China, not so much.
