Here are a few pictures showing the layout and components inside the SilverStone Strider Gold 1200W power supply. The overall layout and component selection looks very good. SilverStone appears to once again be using Enhance Electronics Co. as the OEM for the Strider Gold series.
A pair of Rubycon electrolytic capacitors are used on the primary, both rated for 330uF, 420V, and 105°C. The secondary features caps made by Teapo.

“Japanese Capacitors” is a sought-after feature? Is that some kind of commentary about USA sourced products? I’m old enough to remember when “Made in Japan” meant cheap junk.. have the tables turned so completely?

It’s as opposed to ‘made in China’. The U.S. gave up its capacitor and electronics production facilities to other countries long ago. We barely have microprocessor fabrication capabilities now.
If you buy from Japan, you’ll know your parts were assembled by an adult who is working consentually and not as part of a labor camp. China, not so much.
