The Z68 Extreme 7 Gen 3 gave us a run for our money in 3DMark11; scoring almost 600 points higher than the MSI Z68A-GD80 G3. What’s a bit confusing about this overall score is the fact that both the graphics and physics scores are almost identical to the GD80. However, in the other gaming benchmarks, the Z68 Extreme 7 Gen 3 actually gave us a few less frames per second than other boards we tested with the same CPU, GPU, and other components. This makes me wonder a bit about our 3DMark11 results, so I’ll call this one a push until I get a more definitive result in our other benchmarks.
