Our Settings for Battlefield 3

Here is our testing run through the game, for your reference.

We see some pretty great CrossFire scaling here at both 1680×1050 and 1920×1080 – 95% and 97% respectively.  However, at 2560×1600, we saw basically NO scaling, which simply doesn’t make sense.  We tried about 100 different things to correct this problem but were unable to do so.  We tried swapping card positions, different PCIe slots, a totally different motherboard, downclocking the XFX card, all kinds of things – nothing changed our results at 2560×1600.  In fact, we actually believe the 2nd card wasn’t operating at all since power consumption at 2560×1600 was a solid 130 watts lower than when running at 1920×1080 in CrossFire mode.

Chalk this one up to some driver work that still needs to be done as these cards hit the wild.
