Our Settings for Battlefield 3

Here is our testing run through the game, for your reference.

Battlefield 3 definitely puts the new HD 7870 ahead of the HD 6970 card but when we compared it to the NVIDIA options, things change a bit.  The GTX 570 is able to run even with the 7870 at 1680 and 1920 resolutions but falls flat at 2560×1600 – the larger frame buffer on the HD 7870 is definitely a determining factor.  And yes, the GTX 580 does have the edge in performance over the new guy, it’s not by much!
