Do you feel bad about putting
Do you feel bad about putting iPad news first in a headline?
First let me say you guys do
First let me say you guys do great work – I’ve listened to your podcast forever it seems and you’ve always had some pretty good discussions. The news and the breakdown of the new parts and pieces coming out on the market has made me think about my own opinions on the matters (when I had enough of a clue to HAVE my own opinions), and has been good stuff to know generally.
I say this in Disappointment – not anger or anything like that. Just raw Disappointment with a capitol D.
In your just published video of “Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H Motherboard Sneak Peek” I was completely distracted by what I could not see in your video.
I’m not sure if you are obligated in some way to take up so much room during your video with your logo, or if you will continue to cover the more and more of the screen until.. wait for it.. Until someone actually tells you they have had enough and they will just quit watching.
Guys – I think you are too close to the trees to see that they are in the way is all. SO much so, that I can’t suggest that anyone watch anymore. Listen to your podcast yes, but watch your YouTube shorts – no.
If you were ever wondering when someone was going to mention that you have that little piece of food stuck to your teeth.. well- this is me doing it. I OWE you this feedback for all the years you’ve been podcasting.
Believe me that it is not because of any ill will, but because your banner makes it hard to pay attention to what you are trying to show.
If it helps, here is an easy real world test I learned back in school about such banners. Take the top of a paper box and put it up to your monitor (on edge) so it covers the bottom portion of your screen. You’ll find that it’s about the same width as a lot of banners – thinner even if you can believe it.
If you can work with your piece without frustration, then all is well. But if you sigh or bob your head around.. then that’s exactly what you are doing to your viewer.
This quick diversion in the classroom made me produce things differently – and I hope you’ll understand I mean this in the best possible light. It was a quick check.
I only ask for consideration of the viewer that you are actually producing this for. I think we have been overlooked in this regard. Again – I really only think you are too close to see for the trees…
