We are posting live from the "Inside Kepler" talk at NVIDIA’s GPU Technology Conference with details on the new GK110 GPU. Here is what we know so far:
- 7.1 billion transistors
- 15 SMX (modified) units
- 2880 available CUDA cores
- Greater than 1 TFLOP FP64 (double precision) compute
- 384-bit GDDR5 memory bus
The block diagram for the GK110 GPU
We will update this post with more photos and information as we have it!

Don’t expect to see this GPU until at least Q4 of this year.

I am loving my GTX 680, but I know I will get this bad boy anyway. Im thinking this will be known as the GTX 780 (in its GeForce form anyway), but thats my guess, it makes sense though, lol.
Anyone notice in the first picture / slide, the number of SMX blocks isnt symetrical? 8 on the top half, and 7 on the bottom? I wonder if thats by design (maybe some room near one end of the die), or if a block is disabled (like in the GTX 480).
heh I’ll take that GTX 680
heh I’ll take that GTX 680 off your hands when you get this beast 😛 🙂

I’m willing to hold on to my cash until this drops. I’m only gaming at 1920×1200 and not many games are really pushing my pc graphically.
I can’t wait for more details, this is going to be great.
