The Developer Preview of Windows 8 has been around quite a while now, yesterday’s release of the almost final version of Windows 8 is what is now creating the online buzz. Visually they indistinguishable, Metrosexual lucky Charms are still your main interface with a vastly increased amount of touch interface options for those who are using a device with that capacity. It also has an integral pop-up keyboard and a lock screen, making it incredibly similar to a smart phone. TechReviewSource did not delve below the surface to examine the technical changes to the OS but you can be assured that there will be information forthcoming on PCPer’s front page in the near future. Well I don’t see how Windows
Well I don’t see how Windows 8 could get any worse then it is now. It still has Metro.
Metro is built for a touch interface. How many “Desktop” PC users have or will have a touch interface? Maybe 1%. A person can’t disable that crap interface.
Everyone I have shown the Windows 8 Metro interface hates it. If I could disable it I would not have a huge problem with it. Give us back our “Desktop PC” Microsoft.

True, but windows 8 will be a nice update for my Lenovo x220 multitouch ‘tablet’ laptop … however, I still really hate the metro ui. I doubt it’ll be a ‘hit’ (if they even adopt it) in the business market which is still the largest chunk of Microsoft’s bread and butter.
I understand that Windows 8
I understand that Windows 8 will be good for your “tablet” laptop. The problem is x86 tablets are only 1% of the market. Even Windows Server 2012 has Metro… I don’t know any servers that are tablets…
