Our Settings for Battlefield 3
Here is our testing run through the game, for your reference.
The first thing you notice while playing BF3 at Ultra with the AMD cards in our testing is that they have some significant performance issues with frame slowdowns. The solution would be to lower the IQ settings so that the issue would go away, but you can see that even though all four cards have a 1GB frame buffer, the NVIDIA GPUs are able to maintain higher minimum frame rates without the obnoxious and experience killing drops into the single digits.
When we look at the performance results though we see the GTX 560 is still faster than the GTX 650 Ti by about 23% and that the newest GeForce card falls in between the HD 7770 and the HD 7850. If you take the drops out of the picture (say they are fixed by a driver) you can tell by looking at our frame rate over time images that the four cards seem to pair up; the GTX 560 with the HD 7850 and the GTX 650 Ti with the HD 7770.
