A Detailed Look – From the Outside

The overall fit and finish of the Vengeance C70 Gaming case is very good and presents a rugged, industrial feel.  Our review sample is Military Green, which is a nice dark green matte finish that looks better in person than I was expecting. The C70 is also available in Gunmetal Black or Arctic White. The C70 incorporates two ammo-box style carrying handles on top for easy portability.

Both side panels are removable and secured with two quick-release latches at the top. The left side panel features a large acrylic window with two fan mounting locations (120mm or 140mm) while the right side panel is solid. In practice, both side panels are easy to take off and re-install and fit securely in place with no slop or rattling.

The top of the C70 enclosure features two more fan locations (120mm or 140mm) and is designed to mount a dual-fan radiator for water cooling if desired.

An external I/O panel is located at the top of the front of the Vengeance C70 case and contains:

• Main Power Button
• HDD Activity light
• Headphone Out
• Microphone In
• (2) USB 3.0 ports
• System Reset button

Behind the mesh grill on the lower section of the front panel are two more intake fan locations (120mm).

With both side panels off, the front bezel can easily be removed to access a large dust filter on the inside. The front bezel is secured with spring clips so no tools are required.

Moving around to the rear of the enclosure reveals a fairly typical ATX-tower layout except the power supply is mounted at the bottom of the enclosure instead of the top.  A 120mm exhaust fan comes pre-installed and there are two knock-out openings at the top for routing external liquid-cooling hoses in and out of the chassis if desired.

All eight expansion card brackets contain ventilation slots, which along with the slotted openings on the back, allows warm air to exhaust out the rear of the case.

Flipping the Vengeance C70 case upside down exposes two more fan mounting locations (120mm or 140mm) which can also accommodate a dual-fan radiator for water cooling if you are willing to remove the lower HDD cage.  Two rubber strips at the front and back serve as feet and form a solid foundation for the C70.

Two dust filters come pre-installed on the bottom intake openings and just slide out for easy cleaning.
