Installation and Case Cooling
Power Supply
The Vengeance C70 Gaming case is designed to mount a standard ATX style power supply at the bottom. The power supply dropped easily into position and is secured with four screws on the backside panel. The power supply can be mounted either with the fan up to pull air out of the case or with the fan down. The mesh covered opening on the bottom of the case allows outside air into the PSU when the PSU is mounted with its intake fan down.
ATX Motherboard
The Vengeance C70 Gaming case is designed to accommodate either Micro-ATX or ATX motherboards. To see how things line up we installed a standard ATX motherboard. There is a large cutout behind the CPU socket area and the C70 uses threaded standoffs to mount the motherboard. The motherboard slid into position easily and mated up with the standoffs and rear I/O opening as expected. Thumbscrews are used to secure expansion cards so you won’t have to worry about cards coming loose during transport.
Internal Hard Disc Drives
The internal HDD cages use slide-out plastic trays to mount the actual HDD/SSD. The plastic tray frame flexes enough to slip a 3.5” drive into position, which is then held in place by four metal pins. Mounting holes are provided in each tray for 2.5” HDD/SSDs.
Case Cooling
The Vengeance C70 case has definitely been designed with high air-flow in mind to keep all your high-end gaming hardware running cool and reliable. There are ten different case fan mounting locations with very good support for either internal or external water cooling.
The following table lists the noise generated by the three included case fans while operating at different speeds with the side panels on. Sound Pressure Levels were taken 3’ from the front of the C70 enclosure. The ambient background noise level was approximately 25 dBA.
With all three fans running at full speed the noise is noticeable but not loud and provided good airflow through the case. Slowing the fans down by reducing the voltage still keeps air flowing but quiets the case to a whisper.
It may be the military
It may be the military background in me but it is a beautiful case to begin with. With all the cooling options, room for anything, and HANDLES! Love it.
This case is by far the best
This case is by far the best case I have ever worked with. Having assembled all my own systems for the last 15 years, I’ve had the experience of working with many various makes and models in the mid-tower range. This case has the look and feel of a heavy-duty ammo can, but once inside it’s a thing of beauty with ease of access and total functionality.
Love this case!!!

Just built a system in this case, just an awesome mid-size case all around.

I am installing a motherboard, but this case does not include screws. Neither the motherboard. What spec should I use for obtaining these screws?
