What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas except diseases — and these infections do not even need to happen in Vegas.

Until someone's fingers gets broken because you don't keep your server up to date!

Ruby on Rails is a framework run on web servers to making programming interactive websites easy. The framework picked up quite a following over several years but lost its new and hip factor. For its time it was the face of learning web authoring books. It was simple. It was quick to learn. It was quick to use.

If you are a Ruby on Rails developer and you have used Rails software from the last six-or-so years then you should strongly consider updating. Due to how Rails maintains legacy branches: if your server runs 3.2, 3.1, 3.0, or 2.3 version of Rails then you will need to update to 3.2.11, 3.1.10, 3.0.19, or 2.3.15 respectively or follow the workaround posted on Google Groups. But seriously, update your software. Gem install rails or fingers might get broken. Do it!
