With a name like Razer Blackwidow Ultimate, this new mechanical keyboard has a lot to live up to. It comes with the Razer Synapse software familiar to many, which allows you to program the LED lights behind the keyboard for mood typing as well as programming up to 10 profiles with different keys and macro key settings. It has headset and microphone jacks for those not using a USB headset and USB-Passthrough for those that do. R&B Mods like the overall performance and look of the keyboard but were a bit taken aback by the $135 asking price. It also seems strange that Razer does not advertise the type of mechanical switch this keyboard uses.
"Mechanical keyboards are high demand these days as more and more people have realized how nice they are to game on with their quick response time and keys. Today we are going to review the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate mechanical keyboard, it will be tested in various situations and also see if it is better than the competition that we have tested in the past."

We work closer with Razer
We work closer with Razer than anyone else. If you guys have questions let me know, I can get them answers. I have more than a few personal friends there. BossRigs.com headquarters is located just 10-15 minutes from Razer HQ. These are our favorite keyboards, for obvious reasons. The future is very bright at Razer. BossRigs out.
I thought it was well known
I thought it was well known the BWU uses MX Blues.
As far as noise goes, I was very disappointed with mine. I’ve had it for just under a year so far, and like the action of the keys well enough, but was expecting a far louder sounding click to the keys. I was actually looking forward to that sound. I don’t know if I could go back to a non-mechanical on my main machine.
My biggest complaint has to do with the fact that the keys are backlit blue instead of a dim red. The blue is way too distracting in the situations you’re most likely to utilize the feature: dim/dark rooms. There’s also the fact that the frame is made of a shiny plastic, but that’s not horrible in my opinion.
I’d really like for Razer to
I’d really like for Razer to release alternate sets of replacement keys for their mechanical keyboards. It’s not hard, since all mechanical keys are identical in shape and size, all they have to do is print other keys.
I REALLY would like a Scandinavian keyset.
