The Seasonic Platinum Series 660W power supply is rated for a combined, continuous output power of up to 660 watts at 50°C operating temperature (internal case air temperature). The PSU includes universal AC line input (automatically adjusts to the AC line voltage) and active PFC, which makes the unit more environmentally friendly to the local power grid. The Platinum-660 features a single +12V rail that can deliver up to 55A (660W) of power; the entire capacity of the unit.

Packaging and Parts
The Seasonic Platinum 660W power supply arrived securely packed inside a standard retail box that highlights the unit's main features and specifications. The power supply itself is enclosed in a black velvet bag with a silver Seasonic logo.
In addition to the power supply the package includes a power cord, mounting screws, Nylon pouch with modular cables, wire & cable ties, Seasonic case badge, multi-language Owner's Manual, and warranty card.
A total of 13 modular cables come neatly packed inside a black and silver nylon storage pouch along with one 4-pin FDD cable adapter.
F, bought the 1000watt
F, bought the 1000watt version back in May and it came with the ugly colored modular cables.

hello there, I have a question, since you got that colored modular cables, did you report that to seasonic and did you make a request of being provided with black cables for it? just wondering because if I will be getting one, I might get colored cables too.

Seasonic is always my first
Seasonic is always my first choice when I am in the market for a new psu. Not only are the psu’s excellent, but so too is their customer service.
Just got two of these and
Just got two of these and both of them had coils noise and one also coil whine. Sent them back, very disappointed. (Tested on several platforms and the noise was persistend, even on professional APC UPS)
If your unit produces coil
If your unit produces coil whine or noise, the fix is often to enter BIOS and make sure all power saving options are turned on.
Of course, if yours is defective that is another issue.
I had coil noise even when
I had coil noise even when using a paperclip to start the PSU. It’s more annoying than any fan.
How about the Seasonic
How about the Seasonic SS-760XP2 (Platinum 760) in this series? How’s the performance, any issues, coil noise or fan loudness or performance issues?
