A Detailed Look – From the Outside

The overall fit and finish of the Ostrog GT Gaming case is good and it actually looks better in person than it does in the photos.  Our review sample came with a blue accent stripe around the front bezel and includes two blue LED intake fans.

There are three external 5.25” drive bays at the top of the front panel. The two 140mm blue LED intake fans are located behind the grill in the lower section. They blow air directly over the two internal 3.5” drive bay cages.

Both side panels are removable and secured with two thumb screws at the back. The left side panel features a large acrylic window to show off all your internal goodies while the right side panel is solid. In practice, both side panels are easy to take off and re-install and fit securely in place with no slop or rattling.

The top of the Ostrog GT enclosure features multiple fan locations (1 x 200/230mm or 2 x 120/140mm) and is designed to mount a dual-fan radiator for liquid cooling if desired.

An external I/O panel is located at the top of the front of the Ostrog GT case and contains:

• System Reset Button
• Main Power Button
• Power and HDD Activity light
• Front fan LED lights On-Off Button
• (2) USB 3.0 ports
• Microphone In
• Headphone Out
• (2) USB 2.0 ports

The small tray area behind the I/O panel is designed to be a convenient place to put your cell phone, keys or whatever else you might feel like placing there.

With both side panels off, the front bezel can easily be removed to access the front fans and dust filter. The front bezel is secured with spring clips so no tools are required.

Looking at the rear of the enclosure reveals a fairly typical ATX-tower layout except the power supply is mounted at the bottom of the enclosure instead of the top.  A 120mm exhaust fan comes pre-installed and there are three grommeted openings below the fan for routing external liquid-cooling hoses in and out of the chassis if desired.

All of the expansion card brackets contain ventilation slots to allow warm air to exhaust out the rear of the case.

Flipping the Ostrog GT case upside down exposes two more fan vent openings; one for the power supply and one for an optional 120mm fan if desired.
