Overclocking Results

MSI OC Genie

MSI's OC Genie BIOS-based overclocking solution was able to boot the system stable at a 4.2GHz CPU speed (42x CPU ratio with 100MHz base clock) with memory running at its rated 2133MHz speed as well. The system was fully stable at these speeds over the 8 hour test run. System stability was determined by running a combination of LinX and FurMark over with LinX running for 500 loops with Memory set to All and FurMark running at 1280×1024 resolution and 2x MSAA in stress test mode.

Manual Overclocking

Manually setting the options through the MSI UEFI BIOS, I was able stabilize the system at a 103MHz base clock with a 4.4GHz CPU speed and memory running at 1922MHz. System stability was tested over a 10 hour period with LinX running for 500 loops with Memory set to All and FurMark running at 1280×1024 resolution and 2x MSAA in stress test mode.
