DiRT 3 – SLI

DiRT 3 (DirectX 11)

A continuation of the Colin McRae series, but without his name, DiRT 3 is one of the top racing games in the world and offers stunning imagery along with support for features of DirectX 11.

Our settings for DiRT 3

The 770s in SLI do scale well in DiRT 3 though the HD 7970 GHz Edition cards perform pretty well, with minimal instances of frame variation, at 1920×1080 and 2560×1440.  There is one rather problematic explosion of orange in our graph at 25×14 but otherwise, the results still produce a game play experience that is better than the GTX 770 SLI.  The exception of course is the 5760×1080 result that continues to haunt CrossFire + Eyefinity.
