CPU Cooler Fit and Included Accessories
CPU Cooler Fit
To demonstrate how much space surrounds the CPU socket area, we mounted the largest cooler we could find to the board, the Noctua NH-D14 dual fan cooler.
As shown, the cooler fits the board without issues, even accommodating memory modules with larger heat sinks. You also will not encounter fit issues between the cooler and the mSATA or the primary PCI-Express x1 slot.
Included Accessories
MSI bundles in absolutely everything you need to get the board up and running, as well as some series-centered additions.
MSI includes a plethora of user manuals and documentation, explaining how to use the board and applications, as well as details on overclocking your new LGA1150 CPU.
The included rear panel shield is done in a flat black color with red lettering in keeping with the Gaming series coloration.
MSI includes four 6Gb/s rated SATA cables with integrated port locks and a mix of straight and 90 degree connectors.
A single NVIDIA SLI cable is included for use with dual NVIDIA video cards in SLI mode.
For use with the on-board front panel headers, MSI included their M-Connector plugs. You simply plug the front panel plugs into the M-Connector and plug the M-Connector into the appropriate board header. It makes installation the front panel plugs much easier.
The included V-Check cables plug into the ports in the V-Check Point assembly to give easy access for measuring board voltages directly. Instead of having to stick multi-meter leads into the assembly, you attach them to these extension cables.
In line with the gaming-centered theme of the board, MSI includes a dragon-themed door knob hanger and a case sticker.
