While we run around with our hair on fire trying to get ready for the Intel Haswell and Z87 product launch this weekend, I wanted to let everyone know about a live stream event we will be holding on Tuesday, June 4th. JJ from ASUS, a crowd favorite for sure, will be joining us LIVE in studio to talk all about the new lineup of ASUS Z87 motherboards. We'll also discuss performance and overclocking capabilities of the new processor and platform.

That’s all I could think of. Hope it helps 🙂

I hope JJ will bring along their itx board. Interested in seeing that sucker.
When are the
When are the promised/advertised Thunderbolt add-in cards coming for ASUS Z77 motherboards that had a built-in Thunderbolt headers coming? If ever? 🙂 Just asking… Cause I spent good money on one. 🙂
Is there going to be a lot of
Is there going to be a lot of chips released on this new socket or will it be dead on arrival like the Socket 2011?
What OS will have full driver
What OS will have full driver support? Obviously Windows 7 and 8. Z77 mobos have Windows XP drivers, will Z87?

*Any thoughts to TUF getting
*Any thoughts to TUF getting the enhancements of ROG/Z87/WS boards ie; Smart Digi+, Fan Expert 2, AI Suite II
*What brought on the new Gold color theme?
*Any new highlight’s to the TUF/ROG/Z87 Series or is it just a new chip?
*other than better integrated graphics what are the best upgraded features of Haswell vs I7 3rd Gen?
*Will the Haswell 4770K be as easy to Overclock as its predecessor 3770K or even easier?

What is ASUS doing to improve
What is ASUS doing to improve their quality assurance? Although not a perfect indicator, Newegg.com reviews are pretty dismal: about 17% are 1-egg on the -PRO–one of the most popular boards; 12% on the Maximus V. Customer service also seems pretty spotty from the reviews. Come on, ASUS; you’ve got great products–step up the QA and customer service!
Their competitors are just as bad, but there is nothing worse than having a DOA board on a new build.
How many PCIe lanes will
How many PCIe lanes will there be through Intel and will there be any boards with PLX chips for 4-way x16 SLI or quadfire. Also will there be any liquid cooling options like on the Rampage V with the hybrid cooling. I know it is an Intel event but I would also like to take the time to point out that this Intel RVI will be leaps and bounds ahead of the same RVI for whatever chipset AMD has available for enthusiasts upon release.
*there have been lots of
*there have been lots of reviews regarding haswell 4770k and its lack luster overclock performance as well as heat concerns worse than the 3770k, wont this have a dramatic impact on the release of the Z87 line of motherboards?
*did I miss the boat, I was going to get a 3770k/1155 last fall (current system 4 yr old intel extreme)but decided to wait for the ‘tock’, with the lack luster reviews of the haswell what will encourage me to get the 1150 motherboard besides a couple more 6gb sata?
*bottom line what is your selling point going to be for the Z87 line if haswell 4770k continues to show minimal benefits, whats the future look like for 1150 Z87 MB’s?
– How is Asus going to handle
– How is Asus going to handle the USB3.0 sleep bug in the original Z87 chipset? Do these motherboards feature a fixed version of the chip? or perhaps a workaround solution? or are they going to offer a free recall later on, similar to what happened with Sandy Bridge?
This is very important.
My purchasing decision depends on the answer from Asus on this matter.
Thanks.
Hi Ryan and JJ. My question
Hi Ryan and JJ. My question is about the integrated sound. I recently bought the asus rog phoebus sound card and was wondering what are the differences between it and the new on board sound coming on the Z87 boards. Is my phoebus still better than the new on board sound (i hope so cause i spent some money on that thing) and why?
I’m referring to the rog

Most of the time, a dedicated
Most of the time, a dedicated sound card (like your Xonar Phoebus) will be better than the on-board audio of any motherboard. Even though the on-board audio is fantastic on the ROG series of boards, the Xonar Phoebus is better.
