The Haswell Review - Intel Core i7-4770K Performance and Architecture - Processors 12

The overall scores in PCMark7 between the Core i7-4770K and the Core i7-3770K are very similar and indicate a very slim margin of real-world performance between them.

3DMark (2013) – Ice Storm

A reliable and popular benchmark, 3DMark can provide a good insight into overall gaming performance of a system.

The Ice Storm is a very low end graphics test so it makes sense that all of these systems, paired with the Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition discrete card, just demolish it.  The 4770K is about 9.5% faster on the physics test result than the 3770K.

3DMark (2013) – Cloud Gate

A reliable and popular benchmark, 3DMark can provide a good insight into overall gaming performance of a system.

Cloud Gate puts a bit more stress on the system, but we still find that the 4770K is 12% faster in the physics result and thus is 6% faster in the overall score with an equal graphics result factored in.
