With a 2.4Ghz i7-4700MQ, 8GB DDR3-1600 and a GeForce GT750M the Lenovo IdeaPad actually offers some gaming potential for well under $1000. Lenovo have also chosen to go with JBL speakers as opposed to ones with questionable quality but a famous name attached to them. Bad news is that it ships with Win8.

Why all the hate for Windows
Why all the hate for Windows 8? 8.1 is coming out soon and will fix many of the things that people don’t like. (I personally don’t even want the start menu back.)
And if they do not offer it
And if they do not offer it with windows 7, they will not get my money! TIFKAM at any price, on any computer, is a NO SALE!!!! Laptop OEMs do you hear this!!!
@Jeremy , that’s a GREAT
@Jeremy , that’s a GREAT idea, Put down the OS all hardware vendors are now shipping with at this time. That will get you guys more sponsors. 😉 Anonymous haters and ignorant consumers only hate Windows 88.1 because of a start menu that covers the screen rather than a small area. < cough> OSX Launcher?! cough> Yah! The launcher is BETTER! lol Come on! The Kernel in Windows 8, alone, blows away the competition. Especially on battery life, multicore utilization, driver support, threading, etc… Again ignorance is bliss and easy to sound dumb.
Not all, some deals ship with
Not all, some deals ship with Win7 still.
As to your comment; you explain Win8 to a 70+ year old C-Level who is still on XP because he doesn't like Ribbons and the way Windows 7 is "different" and who still uses a BlackBerry Torch for roughly the same reason. Then repeat for Senior management and then upper management, globally. Oh ya, I have absolutely no reason to not be overjoyed by Win8 nor to really care about improvements which will benefit consumers and S/M business owners somewhat but make life in Enterprise even more interesting than it is now.
