Our Settings for Battlefield 3

Here is our testing run through the game, for your reference.

At 1920×1080 the R9 290 is right up at the same level as the R9 290X and the GTX 780, leaving the green line of the GTX 770 fairly far behind.

Even at 2560×1440 the results are pretty close!  The R9 290 is just a couple of frames per second slower than the R9 290X and is basically tied with the GTX 780 as well.  Clearly, from this set of graphs, the R9 290 could steal the show in terms of performance per dollar.

Now in our 4K testing results, the R9 290 continues to look very good, actually SURPASSING the R9 290X in our results by about 1 FPS on average.  The GTX 780 is definitely behind both AMD options here by 10% or so.
