Our Settings for Battlefield 3

Here is our testing run through the game, for your reference.

What we can gleane from this result is that even though the R9 290 and the GTX 780 are very close in single GPU results, the still-not-perfect frame pacing with the AMD CrossFire configuration is leaving room for the GTX 780s in SLI to run faster than the pair of R9 290s.

 

The results swap here at 4K with our CrossFire and SLI comparisons, though the AMD setup still has the highest amounts of frame time variance.
