Here is a roundup of the reviews of what is now the fastest single GPU card on the planet, the GTX 780 Ti, which is a fully active GK110 chip. The 7GHz GDDR5 is faster than AMD's memory but use a 384-bit memory bus which is less than the R9 290X which leads to some interesting questions about the performance of this card under high resolutions. Are you willing to pay quite a bit more for better performance and a quieter card? Check out the performance deltas at [H]ard|OCP and see if that changes your mind at all.
You can see how it measures up in ISUs in Ryan's review as well.
"NVIDIA's fastest single-GPU video card is being launched today. With the full potential of the Kepler architecture and GK110 GPU fully unlocked, how will it perform compared to the new R9 290X with new drivers? Will the price versus performance make sense? Will it out perform a TITAN? We find out all this and more."

Even with a smaller bus, the
Even with a smaller bus, the 290x is clocked to like 5ghz @ 512bit. With Nvidia card being 384bit bus its clocked to 7ghz which makes it about 10GB/s faster.
Looks like they acknowledge
Looks like they acknowledge its the fastest not by much and lean towards the Radeon R9 solutions.
“When it comes down to bang for the buck, the Radeon R9 290X is offering that in spades. Even the Radeon R9 290 is close to R9 290X performance levels for a lot less expense. If you want the “fastest” video card, it is going to be the GeForce GTX 780 Ti. This cannot be denied, it has the fastest framerate performance, but only by a small margin. If you want to save some cash, and still get the same gameplay experience of the GTX 780 Ti, the Radeon R9 290X will save you $150.”
I was thinking of upgrading,
I was thinking of upgrading, I will probably wait till next year when they come out with there new fastest gpu. I am still on a 560ti sc from evga and would love to upgrade but my mobo doesn’t do sli so i will wait till i build my new system before i get a new card.
