Ai Suite 3
The Ai Suite 3 application is a bundling mechanism for all the included ASUS designed utilities, providing a centralized panel from which to access and run the applets. The main app opens to the Dual Intelligent Processors 4 page, which shows an overview of the different app settings. The overclocking settings are housed in the TPU tab. The EPU tab houses power saving related settings. The DIGI+ Power Control tab houses settings specific to the board power circuitry, and the Fan Xpert2 tab contains fan controls. Along the bottom of the app are real-time monitoring display settings. The other applets can be accessed by clicking on the down arrow in the top center of the app title bar. The Ai Charger+ and USB Charger+ applets configure the USB port for optimized fast-charging of Apple-specific or generic USB-based devices. The USB 3.0 Boost applet supercharges your USB 3.0 ports, allowing for enhanced read and write performance with the amount of performance gain based on the USB 3.0 device in use. The USB BIOS Flashback Wizard creates a BIOS file that can be used in conjunction with the BIOS Flashback functionality built into the board to re-flash the BIOS without the need for booting. This is functionality that I wish more motherboard vendors would embrace because it is easier than you think to corrupt a BIOS. Normally, the board is toast if you cannot boot into the BIOS or reset it successfully. This BIOS Flashback function gives you another option and has saved my bacon in at least one instance in the recent past.

ROG RAMDisk
The ROG RAMDisk application is used to setup a write-able partition using a portion of your system memory. Setting up a Junction point configures the program to auto-administer the selected folders and files to take advantage of the high-speed RAM disk partition.
ROG CPU-Z
ASUS includes a ROG-branded version of CPU-z with the Maximus VI Formula with all the features you've come to expect from the regular version of CPU-z included.
Sonic Radar
To take advantage of the enhanced audio subsystem integrated into the Maximus VI Formula, ASUS includes their Sonic Radar application. Sonic Radar integrate a HUD into your first person shooter game to directionally track pre-configured sound effects in-game and real-time. The application includes a multitude of presets for a variety of game types as well as an auto-detect mode.

Those 3 weaknesses seem like it should not get a gold but a bronze. I can not agree with that score at all. 2 thumbs down on this board and extreme.
bronze? You’re on crack
bronze? You’re on crack Flawedbydesign
Because its hard to get to the CMOS battery? The one you change every 5 years? Not..
The other two are minor and really only would apply to someone who would buy the extreme board anyway.
You have no clue what your talking about, and most likely can’t afford this board.
Good review PCP … It deserves a gold – What an enthusiast board!
