Introduction and Features
The sleek NZXT H440 provides excellent air cooling and is water-cooling friendly without external drive bays.
NZXT is introducing the H440 Mid-Tower case in their H Series line. The new H440 chassis will be available in two different color schemes; white with black accents and black with red accents. Both versions exhibit clean lines and a sleek design. Gone are the 5.25” optical drive bays and in their place you get three 120mm intake fans. In addition to providing excellent case cooling with four included fans the H440 is also very water-cooling friendly with support for water-cooling radiators on the top, front and rear of the case. The left side panel features a large acrylic window to showcase the motherboard area and the H440 can support up to eight internal 3.5”/2.5” HDDs/SSDs: 6+2.
NZXT H440 Mid-Tower Chassis
The lower section of the H440 case, which houses the power supply, is shrouded from view and provides a lot of room for cable management. The color accented shroud features a lighted NZXT logo and there are two LEDs built into the back panel to provide light when making connections; very nice.
The NZXT H440 Mid-Tower case comes with four NZXT FN V2 fans preinstalled: (3) 120mm intake fans in the front and (1) 140mm exhaust fan on the back. Dust filters are provided for the three front intake fans and also on the bottom of the case for the PSU intake fan. And up to three more 120mm fans (or two 140mm fans) can be added to the top panel if desired.
Here is what NZXT has to say about the H440 Mid-Tower case:
“The new H440 features a doorless, ODD-free front panel made entirely of steel while a large, full-view window reveals an interior specially engineered to make any build seamless and beautiful. The H440 ensures a hassle-free experience, allowing anybody to become an expert on clean cable management. The H440 comes standard with four of NZXT’s newly designed FN V2 case fans. An unheard of 3 x 120mm in front and 1 x 140mm in rear. And newly designed steel HDD drive trays can support up to eight internal 3.5”/2.5” HDDs/SSDs: 6+2. The H440 supports both 140mm and 120mm fans, the steel top and front panels come Kraken ready, fitting radiators up to 360mm in size to offer comprehensive water-cooling performance in a sleek, minimalist package.”

I used to look up to you
I used to look up to you guys, but: I cannot believe that you claim to have done a case review, yet you do not seem to have installed a system into it, certainly not a working one!? Moreover this case is designed for a high level of water cooling and not a radiator in sight! Images also just taken directly from NZXT!? Disappointed…
Yeah, it is kind of
Yeah, it is kind of outrageous to award a Gold Award to a case without installing a system and testing its cooling performance. The more I think about it, the more outrageous it seems. Come on Ryan, editor and chief, consider the integrity of the site before you OK the reviews. I have always considered you, Ryan, to have a great deal of integrity, though you do seem to take AMD to task more than necessary. But I have to say, you keep them on their toes and that is much appreciated.
Where do the 5.25″ optical
Where do the 5.25″ optical drives go for my Windows DVD? Oh right NZXT forgot about those………what a worthless case….
Install your windows image
Install your windows image from a USB stick or external HDD. Get with the fucking times.
Bottom line here is that
Bottom line here is that intel processors are a lot more expensive than
AMD. In electronics, the existence of electronic switches is pretty a
great deal established. Making low cost international calls is straightforward.
Have a look at my page h6
Wow, you need an optical
Wow, you need an optical drive for ONE CD. What a fucking waste
NOT THE 5 25′ BAYS!!! -_- no
NOT THE 5 25′ BAYS!!! -_- no offence but seriously usb and external drives
Lol yeah nzxt sure forgot
Lol yeah nzxt sure forgot that only morons require an optical drive to install windows because they can’t figure out how to make a bootable USB… Caveman
Why are you
Why are you lashing out at yourself? Give yourself a break. You sure do post a lot; often with completely different views on the same article, as the case is here. Very confusing.
Dissociative identity disorder is a very serious thing. We all struggle with… Lol
That explains it. Well, sorry
That explains it. Well, sorry for giving you a hard time about it as it is hard disorder to live with, as are all the different personalities, I gather. I look forward to hearing from all your selves, especially when they are at odds.
SteamOS build me thinks,
SteamOS build me thinks, goodbye Optical drive who uses CD’s now anyway? everything is digital and as for windows and other operating systems. Just use a USB drive or if you can’t cope with that, then get an external drive you keep in the cupboard.
wow, this community seems
wow, this community seems full of very rude people.
As for optical drives, some people burn CDs for long drives and family outings as well an burning movies for family and friends.
Stop acting like you are better than anyone else, you surely have proved otherwise in your immature and ignorant comments.
would have liked to see the
would have liked to see the hdd drive sleds have the option to mount a hdd to the under side as well. would have made for a pretty swish looking nas server. perhaps also make a version for e-atx. i like the clean look as well as the led lights for the rear io.
another thing they could have done, that would be unique is have replaceable front io boards so people can choose what io they want.
